4.Start an exercise routine. Exercise is the key to losing weight because it helps the body burn calories a lot faster. You can start off by exercising for 20 minutes a day, three days and week and as you become more fit you can increase this to an hour a day.

5.Make changes to your lifestyle. If you usually sit and watch TV all evening and munch on snacks, take up a hobby that you can do at the same time that will take your mind off eating.

6.Start being busy instead of having time to sit and eat. Take every opportunity to get active. For example, if you find yourself longing for a snack, take this time to do something else. Clean the kitchen cupboards or the refrigerator or work outside in the yard.

7.Eat healthy foods. In order to lose 100 pounds you have to cut 350,000 calories out of your diet. Cut down on the portions of food that you eat and include more fruit and vegetables in your diet.
