Setting Your Goal With These 7 Body Building Tips

By:

So many bodybuilders want to have what they see others have, but they don't have a plan for it. They see the pictures in the magazine: massive lean muscle, but have no map to get there. Putting together a plan of attack is great, but even these body building tips won't do the work for you.

The first tip is to set the goal in mind. Think about where you're going, what you want to accomplish. Be specific, too, like gaining 30 pounds of lean muscle, increasing your bench press by 75 pounds, that sort of thing.

After you've defined your final goal, write it down. Simple, yes, but this is powerful to help you do what you've always wanted. You'll have it in black and white.

Having written the goals down, you now need to set a calendar date for them. Give yourself a deadline to get them done in, or they won't be a priority. This will motivate your schedule and help you have the sense of urgency needed to get it done.

The fourth of these body building tips is to simply work backwards from the goal and see what you need to do to get there. What do you need to accomplish to get it done? It may mean buying whey protein and other supplements, changing your diet, lifting 4 days a week, whatever it is: write it out.

Next on the list of seven tips is to organize the steps into a plan. This is like a map between where you are now and where you are headed, and works the same way.

Planning done, goals set, everything on paper - great - now do it. Thinking it over until you're blue in the face isn't going to add a single muscle fiber anywhere except make your imagination go into overdrive. Plans do nothing without implementation.

Finally, the seventh of the body building tips is making sure each day is a step in the right direction. Now that you know what you're trying to do and what it will take to get there, it's just a matter of forward-progression from here on out. Be consistent, and take a step each day - this is more of a marathon event than a sprint. Keep at it. Kick it up a notch.
