Select A Hepa Vacuum Cleaner

By:

A HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filtration vacuum cleaner is an important tool to minimize the effects of allergens and other indoor air pollutants, if they worsen the situation or to prevent future health problems.

Because HEPA filtration is so desirable, the term HEPA is used to market a wide range of vacuum cleaners, and often applied very misleading and it is difficult to choose a cleaning product that provides the level of filtration buy back the first.
The HEPA filtration specification consists of two numbers that describe a very high filtration of fine particles. The first number represents the percentage of active filtering and the second number of the particle size is maintained. HEPA filtration efficiency is 99.97% and the particles must be kept as small as 0.3 microns (formerly microns).

The number phrase is important because it means that if all particles were 0.3 microns, the filter will still capture and retain 99.97% of them (often referred to as the filtration efficiency). The term up to 0.3 microns does not refer to the same performance as the filter may refer to a mixture of particle sizes for the performance specified.

Ability to filter very small particles is a very important specification, because small particles can easily reach the deepest recesses of the lungs and the U.S. EPA can cause a number of extremely negative health effects such as aggravated asthma, acute respiratory symptoms, such as aggravated coughing and difficult or painful breathing, eyes, nose and throat irritation, respiratory infections and chronic bronchitis, decreased lung function, shortness of breath and lung cancer.
And allergies, one of the most potent allergens, which are believed to be responsible for a significant part of the world suffer from allergies, can be found in the feces of dust mites, which are typically 10-24 micrometers, and even less when disturbed.
