Security Or Freedomwhich Would You Prefer?

To prove my point, I want to ask you another question: Who are the most secure people in the entire world? Are they not the men and women that reside in maximum security facilities? Now, would it be safe to assume that those who reside in maximum secured facilities are also those who have the least amount of freedom?

The reason why most people prefer security over freedom is because freedom costs much, much more!

There is no type of freedom, enjoyed by mankind that does not come with some sort of price tag. Do you want financial freedom? It's going to cost you. Do you want the freedom of time to do what you want when you want to do it? That, my friend is going to cost you.

The real question worth asking, especially to yourself is: Am I willing to pay the price that this type of freedom requires of me?

For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost? Luke 14:28

What kind of tower is it that you are trying to build? Maybe it's the tower of a loving marriage. Maybe it's the tower of a wealthy retirement. Maybe it's the tower of financial freedom. Have you come to the realization that it is going to cost you? Have you measured the cost of you endeavors? And more importantly, are you willing to pay the price?

Sadly, most people would rather abandon their dreams than to engage in paying the price to make them come to reality. They appease their conscience with empty excuses as to why they cannot fulfill their dreams and allow the excuses to numb the pain of knowing they gave them up all too quickly.

It's too hard. I don't have the know-how. I don't have the money. I'm too old. I'm too young. It's too late for me. On and on they go.

What we fail to comprehend when we make excuses for why we can't move forward with tings is the simple fact that:

When You Exchange Your Dream for an Excuse, All You Get to Keep is the excuse itself!

Excuses are just mere figments of our limited minds that we condition ourselves to accept both consciously and subconsciously for the sole purpose of easing the pain of the feeling that comes upon us when we fail to progress.

If we would just be willing to sacrifice the excuse on the altar of personal progress we would immediately come to realize that our dreams are more than a possibility; they are only a matter of time away from becoming our reality, if we would just stick to them!

But it doesn't come cheapafter all, freedom, of any kind is not free.
