Conferring with my business partners, they shared how they became successful in their businesses and what steps they took to achieve their business success. The common denominator they agreed upon was balance. They understand that learning the ropes requires diligence and determination but that balance is fundamental in there daily lives. Here were some of the areas they felt were necessary to balance to maintain a successful business. Family, friends, family activities, environment, health, beliefs, and time for yourself were the areas at the top. Although many people would relate their success with being business savvy, my partners would disagree. They say that the reason they are successful is the fact that they focus and maintain balance in there lives.

With many people feeling uneasy over their financial situations due to current economic conditions, it is easy to get out of balance and feel like you have to concentrate on making money, to stay ahead. On one side you have Corporate America laying people off with little or no notice, and the other side people striving for financial freedom. It makes people a little crazy and life can get out of balance in a hurry.

The real business success stories are the ones that maintain their balance, by organizing there life in a manner that let's them to take time for there families, friends, their well being, and time for themselves. What, take time for myself, with my schedule? Impossible! Think about this, if you don't take care of yourself, who will?

Stop majoring in the minors. Real successful business people have one common thread. These people focus on what's important. Instead of dedicating themselves to nonproductive, time stealing activities they take action. What if instead of watching TV, mindlessly surfing the internet, running unnecessary errands, you used that time to focus on your family, friends, your marriage, yourself or making your business successful.
