Save A Relationship And Get Ex Back - Is It Worth It?

By:

All relationships go through ups and downs. If during the down moments, you ended up going through a relationship breakup or are close to it and you want to save a relationship and get ex back, one of the first steps to ask yourself is, "Is it worth it?" Can the relationship be salvaged and is your ex good for you or is it better to move on and look for someone else who will be better for you?

If you have been fighting for a long time to keep the relationship going, there comes a point were you have to ask yourself and be honest about whether the relationship is worth it. You and your partner may have gone through marriage counseling or couples counseling but you still find yourself fighting to save the relationship.

You may have even grown despondent about saving the relationship because the relationship problems continue to persist. You may have even moved on from a break up and found someone else only to discover that the relationship struggles you had in the previous relationship have cropped up into the current relationship.

Before going through another breakup, separation or divorce, take a moment to be honest with yourself about the relationship and preferably get some relationship advice before making any life changing decisions. Saving a relationship and getting an ex back will involve a lot of work but it is important to try so that you know that you did everything humanly possible to save a relationship and get your ex back.

One of the first steps is to compile a list of those whose company you enjoy. Is your partner on this list? Try to remember the last time the two of you went out and enjoyed spending time with each other. Can you both return to that? When was the last time you were intimate or said that you loved each other and really meant it? It is always important when you try to control your emotions to remember that love is always a choice.

We all like to feel appreciated and understood by the person that we are in an intimate relationship with. As you try to save a relationship and get your ex back, you will need to ask yourself if you listen to your partner and if you feel listened to and understood by them. Can this be changed if this area needs improvement and are both of you willing to put in the effort to improve this area? Are you both willing to spend some time together and to not only talk, but listen to each other?

Do you feel comforted in the relationship? We have a need for comfort when things get tough and do you feel that your partner is meeting this need? Are you meeting this need for your partner? Or have you both started looking elsewhere for this comfort and understanding?

Trust is very important in a relationship and when trying to save a relationship and get an ex back, you need to consider whether there are fidelity or problems being faithful in the relationship. Without trust, a relationship will fall apart. Do you trust your partner and are they able to trust you? This is an important question to ask and needs to be answered honestly. If there are problems in this area, you need to decide if there any steps that can be taken to help you both build a relationship based on trust. Couples or marriage counseling may be of great help if this is an area that you both are struggling with.
