Rsg Online Courses

RSG training is a course mandated by The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR). The course is designed for people working in Queensland (QLD) licensed gaming venues who are supplying gaming services to patrons. RSG online courses can be done at any time that is convenient for the participant.

From 1 October 2010, all new gaming employees have three months from the date of starting employment to obtain their approved RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling) course certificate. This includes all eligible licensees, gaming nominee license holders, gaming employee license holders, and staff who perform any gaming related tasks and who may be in position to observe player behavior.

The RSG Online course can be completed in less than 4 hours and the certificates can be printed out after completion of the course. For the OLGR RSG course you will receive two certificates. The OLGR RSG Course Certificate which is required to work in QLD, and the nationally recognised accredited certificate unit code SITHGAM006A. RSG is continually being evaluated and States and Territories are constantly updating their information. RSG is mandatory in some States and Territories and not in others.

The RSG Online Course is comprehensive and covers topics such as Queensland legislation, Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing (Queensland OLGR), Gaming Employee License, The Responsible Gaming Code of Practice (Queensland),What is a Customer Liaison Officer, Exclusions provisions, Excluding a patron, 24 hour cooling off for self-exclusions, Physical environment, Provide a safe and supportive environment, Financial transactions, Advertising and promotion, Harm minimization policies in Queensland.

If you have a national RSG, or other state/territory RSG or RCG certificate and want to work in Queensland, you can do the OLGR RSG Bridging course which will upgrade you to the RSG Responsible Service of Gambling course. Again, like the RSG Online Course the Bridging course can be completed online in less than 4 hours. In NSW this course is also known as RCG, but currently face to face training is available in NSW.

Courses in Customer Liaison Officer Training and Responsible Conduct of Gambling are also available. These courses along with the RSG Online courses will prepare the participants to meet industry standards ensuring their employability.
