Romantic Red Letter Days For Your Valentine

Just as we get Christmas done and dusted, it soon becomes another time of year to exchange gifts. Now we all know that giving is better than receiving (although receiving is pretty good as well), however finding the practical gift can be a bit of a effort. Valentine's Day can be one of the most difficult or simplist occasions to buy for, it just depends how different you want to be. Think about it, do you want to go for the usual present of chocolate or flowers, maybe even a bit of jewelry, or would you rather put more effort into it and treat someone to something slightly more original? You have to admit, the first option sounds easier and seems to do the trick year after year; however, it can get a little boring. Imagine your loved ones reaction when they expect to receive the same present as previous years only to receive something completely different! Sounds like putting a little more thought into it is a good thing!
Now buying for Valentine's Day can be tricky. This is one reason so many people go for the simplest. The whole point of purchasinga present is to buy something romantic, that or something for two people to enjoy. This is where a red letter day starts to sound more and more like a good gift idea. When people think about red letter days they tend to think flying lessons or flying experiences. Now if your girlfriend got you one of these for Valentine's Day you would not be too displeased, however it's probably a gift better suited to other occasions. One of the most common experience days for women is a spa and pampering day. Again, this is not a very romantic gift although it is a gift that is received well on any occasion. Now how could one make this more romantic? How about buying a spa and pamper day for two, or really over do it and go for a spa and paper weekend away. Relax, laze about and enjoy each other's company whilst lounging around in that hot tub and drinking champagne. Just make sure your partner takes you and not their mate!
Now what other romantic ideas can we think of for two? There are plenty of romantic and memorable gourmet experiences to choose. You can even go that little bit further by treating someone to a journey on the Orient Express with dinner included, or a cruise on the Thames including dinner. If money is no object then a Paris cruise including dinner sounds like a wonderful choice! Another romantic option would be a hot air balloon ride drifting over the English countryside whilst sipping bubbly. This would definitely be an unforgettable and romantic experience. Alternativley, if your loved one is afraid of heights, try something a little less frightening and book an overnight theater trip to London with two tickets included to see a top show. Choosing a romantic tearjerker is definitely a top option. Alternatively, take you loved one on a wine tasting and vineyard tour. Not as romantic as the previous ideas however it is still something you can enjoy as a couple.
You might not be not the romantic type but still like the idea of doing something together. You always have the option of doing something extreme. Why not try a tandem sphering experiencerolling down high hills mimicking a hamster in a wheel. Better still, you could try a lover's leap bungee jump. These two definitely do not fall into the romantic category however at least you will be spending quality time with each other.
The most important thing come Valentine's Day is showing your love for one another, and it does not always take a gift to prove this. Even if you do decide to go for the flowers or chocolate, remember it is the thought that counts anyway!
