What you see Dont go by the look of the building in which Happy Days restaurant is located as it is very plain and ordinary in contrast to the well-designed interiors. The restaurant is located in a narrow lane in between Reebok Juniors and Samsonite in Panjim, Goa and has a big green and red logo to help identify it.

The restaurant is split into two levels with the top floor serving as a venue for events and parties in addition to regular dining. Worth a mention is the elegant bar counter with flickering lights at the bottom of the table. For seating arrangement, there are cushioned sofas as well as tables and chairs. The place mats on these tables are entertaining with pictures, sayings, puzzles and drawings.

Happy Days is possibly one of the few restaurants in Goa where you can have a cozy romantic dinner with your loved one. It has a special section comprising few tables and chairs, hidden behind gorgeous red colored heart shaped string curtains.

What you get At this restaurant you can get Indian, Chinese, Italian and Continental cuisine. In addition, a wide selection of fruit juices, smoothies, cocktails and mocktails are offered. Health and fitness freaks will love the place due to the availability of fresh, nutritious salads seasoned with delicious dressing.

The Chinese dishes in particular are to die for at Happy Days. Soft tender pieces of chicken soaked in thick gravy in Chinese chicken chilli dish is a must try. Other appetizing fares include Spring rolls, Chicken lollipops and Chicken manchurian. A specialty of Happy Days is Chicken Peri Peri that is oven cooked and char grilled to perfection and topped with scrumptious Goan rechad sauce.

A special childrens menu is provided that comes in small food portions. For around Rs.160, you can opt for a kids combo meal comprising one food item (choose from fish fingers, nuggets, pizzas and burgers), one soft drink and dessert. High stools are provided for little kids comfort.

The juices and smoothies served here are quite refreshing. In desserts, we recommend Melting chocolate mountain with vanilla ice cream. It has bursts of hot liquid chocolate oozing out every time you scoop out a piece of the devouring cake. The strawberry mousse is yet another mouth-watering option.

Our verdict Happy Days offers exceptional choices in food and services quite unlike most other restaurants around Panjim. Try it and you might end up coming here than just once. Health seems to be of focus here. We noticed this in the chicken burger which consisted of grilled chicken meat instead of fried and in the fresh juices which had no addition of sugar. The restaurant is open all day long for meals. Also, catering orders are undertaken here. Events and parties that are conducted too at the top level of the restaurant function without disturbing the diners below. Happy Days makes complete arrangement right from giving out the invites to arranging a birthday cake. Innovative ideas are implemented too such as the use of unique handmade dcor for the party.

Clean wash rooms are maintained here quite unlike most other local restaurants. Service is excellent. You can find parking space around the Municipal Garden opposite Hindu Pharmacy or in front of the Levis showroom. Credit cards are accepted.
