Getting settled into a career of your choice is not that easy. For some people lady luck strikes at one go and the end up in a life long career. But if you are ambitious your goals will reach higher and higher. A company that you are working for may not offer a greater scope to fulfill your life long ambitions. Hence change is a must. But when you seek a job there are some points to remember. Salary and position alone does not count in making of a career. It is not just a job it is the working environment and employee employer relationship that counts. In fact just getting a job is not enough one need suitable working environments as well. This simply implies that you should research a job well.

In a job if the working environment is not suitable or as per your liking, then it will not be a stable job prospect for you. If the relationship with the employer is not smooth and cordial, the job will not last for long. It is back to the job site again for to search another job. How long will you go on changing jobs or searching for new jobs?

Find all about the company before appearing for the interview. Researching the company will also help you reply to the queries suitable to them. The information gained will also get insight of the company culture, attitude of the senior managers and all round career prospects.

Meet some one already employed to find about the working environment and prospects of the company. Does it promise growth? Is there going bee regular pay hike as per your performance? Is the company introducing new products and service?

Will you be absorbed easily into the set up according to your capabilities and skills? A job is a career maker and it should be stable. Frequent job changes may spell disaster for your career and your future prospects as well.

You must have a full idea about your placement in the company and your job profile. You must not hesitate to discuss these matters with the interviewer even if your job is not confirmed. Clarifying all about your position and responsibilities before hand will help. Find out who your immediate boss will? Who will be your team members and associates? Who will work directly under you?

It is not that you will be able to find out everything but knowing a lot will prepare you for the work and prevent a disaster.
