Do you want to practice as a certified bail bond agent in the state of Florida? Becoming a licensed bail bondsman is not so easy process as it includes proper hours of training under supervised internship. For becoming a bondsman, you need to be a U.S. citizen or legal alien completing at least 18 years of age and has a licensed resident of the state with a required high school diploma or equivalent. Classroom Training:
Fit is important to have the necessary 120 hours of classroom instruction with a minimum passing grade of 80% or higher. In addition, an applicant needs to complete the self-defense and arrest procedures as well.
Insurance Training:
Apart from the required classroom hours, applicants needs to undergo a correspondence course on insurance and bonds. Temporary License:
Once you clear the above mentioned two phases, it is important to obtain an employment under a well-known and credible licensed
Florida Bail Bonds Agency or insurance company. The concerned will then submit an attested affidavit to the applicants integrity and moral character. For seeking a temporary license, you need to attach this affidavit certificate along with similar statements by at least three reputable citizens of the country where you will be working as a licensed bondsman.
Final Testing:
After you clear all the correspondence courses and internship, you are eligible to appear for the final exam. Once you get the nod, you will be getting your exam schedule upon request from the Department of Financial Service. After you clear the exam with the required criteria, you will be appointed as a licensed bail bondsman by the state authority.
