I've found that one of the best ways to get the attention of my perfect buyers when I need to sell my home is to refinish existing wood floors. My crew is very experienced so it is something they have done for me many, many times over the years I've been buying and selling homes as an investor. You may not have that advantage, meaning you may not have an experienced crew working for you, but you can certainly hire a crew that refinishes wood floors professionally.

And of course it's the old-world charm of wood floors that really makes them attractive. Most people are building with and remodeling with bamboo flooring now because it is a renewable resource. But if your home is already equipped with the beauty and substance of wood flooring, usually oak or maple, or the practicality of solid pine, you have an advantage in today's market. People love wood floors and they often need them, too. At least they need a hard surface, and wood is the classic preference in a home setting. In times past these types of floors were the main type of flooring used.

When I need to sell my home one of the first things I do is get an estimate on the cost of refinishing the floors, and that includes pine flooring. I often use light or dark oak stain on the pine flooring and it looks terrific when the job is complete! I suggest you give some thought to exposing wood floors and refinishing them when you remodel a home for sale.
