Help Protect Our Mother Earth - Recycle Plastic Bags and Spread Awareness
With the advancement in science and technology, man has learned to travel in the sky; land on the moon; and perform various feats and miracles. Has all this made mans life successful? Yes, it has in a number of ways but along with this it has also caused mans failure in protecting the mother earth. We have failed to become good and civilized inhabitants of Earth because the rate of air and water pollution is increasing to an unbelievable extent. However, there are also some of us who are obsessed with the environment and are constantly working to overcome this weakness. In this article, I will state some of the ways we can help protect our Mother Earth. For instance we can recycle plastic bags.

Recently, Stockholm was awarded as the green capital of Europe. Why cant we all work together to make the entire earth green? Here are some of the ways we can curb pollution on earth:
Plant Trees:

Plating trees is without doubt the best way to overcome pollution. Trees play a very important role in lowering down the pollution rate. Areas that are covered with thick trees and plants have the lowest rate of pollution in the air. Apart from air pollution, water pollution can also be controlled by planting trees. A green earth is definitely an answer to our dying mother earth.
Recycle plastic bags:

The other important step that we can take to protect out mother earth is the recycling of plastic bags. Plastic bags can work like a poison for the body of our earth. These have been banned in some parts of the world for this reason. However, some underdeveloped and undeveloped countries still make use of plastic bags because their usage is cheaper. In that case, they should be recycled rather than dumped away. Recycling results in a healthy environment.

If we recycle plastic bags, we reuse them again without destroying our earth. The recycling plant can be developed without much finance, within a low budget. Thus, our government should develop these plans and limit the use of these bags if protecting the earth and living in a healthy environment is valuable for them.

How do organizations and governments need to implement strategies to protect our mother earth?

As mentioned above, Stockholm is entitled as the green capital of Europe. This was not done through some magic or miracle. People living in Stockholm are as much humans as people living in other parts of the world. Thus, if they can protect their city and make it green, why cant we? Government and organizations should work to plant more trees in every part of the world - to make the earth green and alive.

In some countries of Europe, Saturdays are no plastic bag days. This small step taken by the governments of some European countries has helped to control the amount of plastic bags that were normally used. It is a strict rule in these countries that no shopping shall be done in plastic bags on Saturdays. It does not make a difference to the lives of the people but it surely makes earth a better place for everyone to live in.

Campaigns that bring awareness to public on greener living place:
Apart from this, public campaigns can be a great source of spreading awareness for the protection of mother earth. These campaigns should not be limited to any special age groups or professionals. From schools to colleges, from universities to market places, from hospitals to farm houses, everyone should be included in these campaigns.

TV has a great influence on people of every age group these days. Thus, TV ads and programs can be very effective in spreading the word about it. Apart from this radio commercials and internet ads shall also be introduced for this good cause. These should focus on the need to recycle plastic bags; limit the use of vehicles; and to curb other causes of earth pollution.
