Many independent artist and labels would support each other in the music industry. Sometimes, even audio production schools would help them on their way to becoming big. 25 year old Rob Williams has been working with an independent artist management group and recording label to keep him off the dangerous streets. For him, the love for music is the reason why he works hard, and most of his friends whom he made music with are now in prison. He signed with the independent artist management group and recording label Unlimited Production Music or UPM. Since then, he has been able to share his talent and perform in dozens of gigs in Chicago, Milwaukee and Lake County areas. The biggest by far was a gig at Six Flags Great America.

According to Williams, he spends about sixteen to seventeen hours in a week working at the studio on his music and his choreography with Unlimited Production Music. He added that his passion n music is making him into a better person. Williams does RnB, hip hop and rap. Like other artists who signed up with Unlimited Production Music, Williams writes his music on his own. While making music hes also taking up a course on business management at the University of Phoenix. Austin Smith, president of Unlimited Production Music says that they bring in the talents based in the Lake County-Chicago and other nearby areas. They find and explore all the opportunities for their talents and see how they can turn negative experiences to positive ones.

Talents who sign up with Unlimited Production Music mostly do RnB, pop and hip hop genre. They currently are looking to spread out to gospel. All Unlimited Production Music artists are getting education. Opportunities like these are great for students at audio production schools since this gives them a chance to practice what they learned at school before going mainstream. Smith also added that nowadays, more and more young people are doing all these negative things. By giving them a chance to show their talent, Unlimited Production Music keeps them safe in school while letting them develop as artist. All the artists who signed up at Unlimited Production Music are studying while working on their music. The company supports both these aspects by prioritizing their studies and finding ways for them to perform their music on stage. Some audio production schools and recording labels would collaborate in projects that will benefit both their students and the recording label.
