There are numerous reasons lovers leave a relationship as opposed to sticking it out. Most are avoidable. Here are a few very important issues that are very often reasons that your lover may leave.
Infidelity is tops on the list. There is nothing that makes a person feel more unloved and unwanted than finding that the person that they love is being unfaithful to them. Some relationships can survive this hurdle. This takes a lot of work from both partners in the relationship and sometimes the fear of a recurrence never leaves the hurt party. Many other relationships disintegrate when this happens instead. In my eyes this is one of the worst things that you can do to a person that you supposed love.
Being a controller is another thing that will drive your lover away fast. They had a life before you came along. This is a form of emotional abuse and will cause your lover to feel smothered. Very often they will feel smothered to the point that they feel they cannot breathe and want out of the relationship. This is something that can be changed with a bit of effort from the person that is being the controller.
Boredom and lack of spontaneity in the relationship is yet another reason your lover may leave. In early relationships there is always something new and exciting. You have to make a concerted effort to keep the home fires burning. If you dont you risk the fire going out altogether. This can be hard to recapture but can be done if you persevere.
Last on my list is the fact that once a couple have been together for a while they seem to slack off on their appearance. Time together is no reason to become a slob. Take pride in yourself and in your looks. This will help your partner see what they were attracted to in the beginning and also help build your own confidence as well.
These are just a few tips. There are many more reasons that lovers leave as well but if you just try to think of what brought you together to begin with it will help prevent this from happening to you.
