Ready Reading Glasses Compared To Prescription Specs

Ready Reading Glasses Compared To Prescription Specs

By:

I recently watched an old episode of Lost, I think it was season two, when James Sawyer was getting his headaches. The stubborn sod had a problem with Jack, or Doc as he called him, and both of them were competing for Kate Austen, the sexy fugitive. This didnt help matters at all, and Jack, most peoples hero, was always straight and honest. Sawyer, my favourite, was selfish, cocky and physically strong and wanted to be left alone by everyone other than Kate. In this particular episode Sawyers headaches were getting serious enough for him to at least listen to Jack, and he mentioned brain tumours in his family. Jack, as usual, did everything right and diagnosed Sawyers diminishing eyesight, especially for reading. Now, I dont really know how far-fetched it was that Jack had a selection of glasses available on the beach after a plane crash, but I guess they could have collected up everything they had found from the survivors and casualties. Even though, glasses are not perceived to be particularly valuable in such a situation and certainly wouldnt aid survival. Nevertheless, a small selection was available and the most suitable pair for Sawyer were far from his choice of design. Anyone who has seen the show would know that his personality didnt lend itself to be ridiculed in any way.

Generally, Lost is a serious drama but one couldnt help raising a smile when the pair that worked best for Sawyers problem were not at all his cup of tea. Fortunately, those of us who have never been in a plane crash need not be forced into such decisions. We can choose the design we like and then make sure that they work for our particular deficiency. However, some may say that Sawyer had it easy. He either chose the glasses that did the job, or continued with his headaches. As consumers, we have so many options and one of which is choosing ready reading glasses compared to prescription spectacles. The ready reading glasses are cheap and easy. We can get them online or in shops. We dont need to fuss about with eye tests and expensive advice from opticians. If they feel right, then they must be ok. In contrast, prescription glasses are made to order and, even though the cost is substantially more, fit our eyes needs perfectly. Many people with some kind of visual deficiency usually have one eye stronger or weaker than the other. Ready reading spectaclescompared to prescription glasses do not offer that customization and, lets face it, our eyes and eyesight are extremely important. In short, James Sawyers predicament was just fiction, but most of us will eventually need to make some kind of decision before we reach old age about reading glasses. Style, cost and whether or not to even buy them are all factors when trying to make a decision about ready reading glasses compared to prescription glasses. Luckily I do not need them to watch the rest of Lost, but for reading in low light at the tender age of 39, well lets just say that I am fighting a losing battle and trying to kid myself somewhat.
