Reaching For The Stars With A Slice Of Bmw Ambition

By:

If you want to achieve anything in life you have to possess a number of things, drive, determination, focus and ambition. If you don't possess these vital key traits then it is unlikely that you will obtain the goal that you are chasing. If you meet the chairman of a company, it is likely that you will find him to be focused, driven, forceful and convincing. This confident demeanour helps to send out positive vibes to the members of staff about the goals of the company.

BMW has a focused, driven, determined attitude and this has consequently led to the company obtaining and achieving all of it goals since it was founded in 1916. Whether it has been their ambition and drive behind the ability to create a new series and breed of car, their venture in the World of motorcycles or the start of their motorsport projects.

The company has developed into one of the leading motoring brands in the market today, with the now renowned 3, 5 and 7 series' bolstering their sales through the eighties, nineties and into the new millennium. This success has allowed BMW to indulge itself with the reinvention of the 1-series and the 6-series, whilst also diversifying into the multi-purpose vehicle market, which has seen the company's sales soar through the roof.

BMW first ventured into the motorcycle market in 1923 with the invention of the R32 motorcycle, since then there have been a number of different evolutions of their motorcycle, which have mainly been focused around the off-road variety of motorcycle. Three of these bikes helped to power Ewan McGregor, Charlie Boorman and Claudio von Planta around the globe on their epic adventure 'Long Way Round'.

Recently, BMW has expanded its motorcycling program, introducing a range of new sports based machines with the sole aim of capturing a slice of the market from their competitors as well as the most prestigious prize in production based motorcycle racing, the World Superbike Championship with their highly successful S1000RR machine.

However, this wasn't BMW's first foray into the motorsport arena. With a Formula one team and World Touring car team, the company has competed at the highest levels of motorsport and succeed. The Formula one team won their first and only race to date in Canada back in 2008 with the car in the hands of Robert Kubica, despite the fact that recent success for the team has been limited, they have achieved success supplying engines to Brabham back in 1983 when the team went on to win the World driver's Championship.

In Touring cars, Andy Priaulx has managed to win three world titles for the manufacturer driving their highly successful 320i, making them the most successful team in the Championship to date. It really does show that if you have drive, ambition, passion and determination there is nothing that you can't achieve. But words are cheap and actions speak louder than any words could, so now it's time to ask yourself if you are ready to make the change.
