Challenge:
The designers had to fit the 59.4 kW arrays of Abound AB1 Series 67.5 Wp thin film, PV modules within the available area. Local conditions required 20 PSF ground snow load and 90 MPH wind load.

Solutions:
RBI solar, Inc. designed the tilt-angle of the structural framing system for the array at 25 degrees. There is a minimum mean clearance of 24 between the solar modules and rough grade at the lower end of the structure. Top of the module is designed to be 66higher from the rough ground accounting for terrain undulations.

Project Overview:
Melink Corporation is the developer of this 59.4 kW PV project. RBI Solar, Inc. provided solar ground mounting structures for this project.

RBI solar designed this project in-house using its standard single post ground mount system in 2x5 portrait orientation. The top frame includes rafters and top chords attached to a square post. There is no field welding involved to install this system.

All the manufacturing was done at RBI solar fabrication facility in Cincinnati, OH. State of the art laser machines are used for fabrication. All the system components are hot dip galvanized to prevent deterioration over time. We have used local crews for installation. Safety is our primary concern on all the solar panel installation jobs. We follow all the safety procedures while doing the solar racking installations.
