One of the most historical places to visit in Hyderabad is the Qutb Shahi Tombs. Here seven famous Qutb Shahi rulers are buried in the Golkanda Fort. You will know which are the more important and powerful rulers as they are placed in 2 storied tombs, whereas the others are kept in single storey tombs.
The tombs were once furnished with velvet curtains and lush carpets; although due to neglect much of its glory does not exist today. All the Qutb Shahis have been placed here, with the exception of the last ruler. Muhammed Quli Qutub Shahs tomb is said to be the grandest of them all that was created in 1602 AD. It is spread over an area of 65 kilometres and the ceiling is said to be 4 meters high.
