Quran For Kids

Even though it is obligatory for every adult Muslim to read the Quran regularly, and many do, there are few Muslim adults who go to the next stage, which is to recite the Quran. The difference between reading the Quran and reciting it lies in the command in Saheeh Ahadith reported in Bukhari and Muslim that it is obligatory to Quran Recitation in as beautiful a voice as possible. Reading the Quran can only become recitation when one reads the Quran with the proper pronunciation of Quranic Arabic, called Tajweed. Indeed, there are some reciters who recite the Quran extremely beautifully, yet it is particularly moving to see young children learning to read the Quran, and, indeed, some of them recite the Quran very, very beautifully in their sweet little voices.
The Quran is the Speech of Allaah in the Arabic language and a book full of knowledge. It is, therefore, imperative that it be recited without vocal or grammatical mistakes, that is, with the correct tajweed. The word Tajweed means the correct pronunciation of Quranic Arabic. Although one can learn the rules of Tajweed, oneself, from books, yet it is difficult for very young children to do so themselves, especially those who are still learning to read and write.
To be sure, Allaah is most pleased when young children learn to read the Quran, since this means that they will be guided towards the correct path from a young age, and will be more than likely to avoid the immoral pitfalls of this world, and will be well armed to confront the alluring incitements of Satan. Parents or guardians of children must, therefore, hire the services of a private Quran tutor to teach Quran to their kids if they want their children to learn to read and recite the Quran correctly.
Unfortunately, this can sometimes be a hassle, especially for Muslims living abroad in Western countries where the number of masajid is far fewer than in Muslim countries, and even if there is a masjid within driving distance, there are usually other problems, such as; whether the masjid has a qualified Quran tutor; whether the Quran tutor is free to teach when the kids are free to learn, and so on.
Yet, with the tremendous advances in information technology in modern times, there is another much more convenient method of learning to read and recite the Quran which can be used by adults and kids alike.
