Quitting Smoking? Then Let's Drop The Barriers, Use What You Are Not Using, Your Brain

By:

If you are serious about quitting smoking once and for all, lets push back the barriers and grab the opportunity with both hands, you will be using less than one tenth of your brain power. No, I have not made an error! The human brain is a fantastic machine, yet it's full potential has never been reached. Leading psychologists agree that most of us use only ten percent of our brain. This is like owning a car with a top speed of 100mph but never driving it past 10mph.

There's a simple activity that illustrates my statement. Compare the use of the brain with other parts of the body. Anyone who has ever worked out at a gym knows that muscles that are not used will eventually become unusable. Heed the warning and become a little more energeti. Progressively increasing the power of these muscles through sensible and controlled workouts creates greater flexibility, endurance and strength.

The little effort you put in may give you the rewards. Think of horseracing. The horse that wins a race may be worth 100 times more than the one that comes second. But, just a minute, it's not 100 times better. On the day it was just a fraction of a second faster. Yet those tiny slices of time made a big quantum difference.

Now here is a staggering thought. Imagine what you could do if you used just a small amount of that 90% 'spare' capacity in your brain. That would make a fantastic difference to your life. The opportunities there are almost endless. Bringing more of your brain into play could mean the difference between just getting by and living a more meaningful life. It could mean the difference between mere existence and living an enjoyable and fulfilling life with zest, enthusiasm, optimism and happiness.

That sort of conjecture fills most people with awe. If it is so simple, you may wonder why everyone doesn't do it. It's an exploration that will take you where you've never been before. You will have to teach your mind to explore those untapped areas and this will require time and conscious effort. But you know it is well worth doing, what ever it takes. Again, I'll whisk you back to your decision to stop smoking and your subsequent action. It needed new thinking and effort but you did it.

So you can begin exploring your unlimited potential with no further excuses. Just do it, and do it now.
