Quit Teaching Now What? Answering The Life After The Job

Often, teachers are brought up with a question "quit teaching now what?", right after the profession. However they don't really have an idea as to how to respond to it since they haven't thought about it in the first place. Leaving virtually any profession is always hard and continuing on is even difficult.

To help our dear mentors meet up with such an unpleasant experience here is a list you might want to do right after you left school. However, it should be noted that you must be emotionally and physically ready to continue. Here are the things you might want to pursue.

Thing 1: Find another career. If ever you are always eager to work, it would be better to find another career. This new profession may be a new career being a teacher to a new school or even a brand new work that you wish to do before. It is entirely up to you should you grab another years of work. It is in this case you would still be able to earn and also do something productive. At least you won't be bored at home doing nothing and having a new working opportunity.

Thing 2: Go on a long vacation. Another wonderful thing that you might eventually enjoy doing right after quitting would be to go on a long getaway. Since you were working before, I guess with all the time that you currently have right now you can be able to venture on one terrific break. You might use your last salary to go over a trip abroad trying to experience new things, new cultures and one relaxing days or weeks for you. I think it is about time to give yourself a little reward for the years you spend in working as a teacher.

Thing 3: Bond with members of the family. Since you have all the time in the world right now along with no work, you can utilize this to spend quality time with your family. This may be a good opportunity to unite and speak with them that you failed in doing so before since you were busy. Perhaps do a bit of catching up with your children and your spouse. Go to dinner occasionally or treat them somewhere fancy.

Maybe these things can now be your answer, if ever you are addressed with the concern "quit teaching now what". These items are actually productive and pleasant to note even if you no longer work. As such, it is your option if you prefer to continue working or take a short break with your family. However, it all boils down to personal preference whether you would pursue such or not.
