Quit Smoking Now To Live Longer

Do you want to know the quickest and easiest way to live longer? Eat right, exercise, be active, think positively... and quit that smoking habit! If you are not a smoker, then shoo! This is for the smokers out there who need that wake-up call, that boost of encouragement that could very well cause them to quit their smoking addiction for good.

Smoking is dangerous. Period. If you hear otherwise, then the person or group of persons who claim that smoking is not dangerous needs to get their facts checked and straightened out. Smoking is dangerous because of the additives that are included in the tobacco mixture and because of the nicotine that is naturally found in the tobacco plant.

Nicotine is a highly addictive substance that is absorbed immediately after it is inhaled. It will definitely not kill you outright if you smoke a single cigarette, but your addiction to the nicotine will kill you in the long-run because you are inhaling a few thousand other chemicals that simply aren't good for you. In fact, a single drop of pure nicotine can end a person's life if ingested.

They always say that if it sounds unnatural or the word cannot be pronounced, you should not ingest it. The list of chemicals in tobacco smoke and the additives in the tobacco mixture might contain some that you can pronounce but ultimately, it all boils down to the obvious fact that you should not inhale it - ever. After all, you would not inhale on your air freshener or household cleaning products, would you?

Continuing on the path that you are walking on will ultimately lead to some form of disease or death. Cigarette-smoking is the single most important source of premature deaths in America. Over 430,000 smokers succumb to death from heart attacks, strokes, and various cancers in a single year.

In addition to death and disease, the money you will have to waste on hospital bills simply is not worth it. What you end up spending on hospital stays, treatment, and medication can be enough to cover several vacations to foreign countries. It could be enough to put away into a retirement account or into a child's college fund.

What you do today has a direct effect on what your tomorrow looks like. Quit the smoking habit today, and you will have a better smoke-free tomorrow with more energy, vitality, and a new outlook.
