We work at our offices each day and don't take much time to think about how things might be different. Sitting in the same chair, at the same desk day by day becomes habit and we don't stop to think about how we could improve our area. Your body may be suffering with sore muscles or aches and pains and so, it's time to stop and think about how you can change your office to make it healthier and also more pleasant.

Are you in pain? The most important thing is taking care of yourself. If you are feeling pain in throughout your workday, you need to figure out what is going on and what you can do to help. You want to avoid serious health problems if at all possible.

Are you worn out after working? Your body will wear out very quickly if you are in pain or uncomfortable day by day. There is hardly the energy to get home, sit down in an easy chair and sleep for hours. If this is the case, you should consider the type of office chair that you are currently useing and perhaps buy a new chair that is more supportive and comfortable.

Do you want to be more productive? It's been proven that the more comfortable you are while working, the more you will accomplish. It's hard to do your best and think clearly when you don't feel well.

Do you want to save money at the doctor's office? After working and feeling miserable day after day, most people will visit their doctors for an exam. There, they will complain of muscles aches, headaches and insomnia. The doctor may prescribe a medication and suggest lifestyle changes.

What type of lighting do you have? Windows with natural sunlight is definitely an added plus to any office. Studies have shown that natural light reduces stress and fatigue and increases productivity. Sufficient lighting is necessary in order to avoid straining your eyes.

Do you have sufficient room? Think about your desk and rather or not it suits your needs on most days. You should be able to reach things without any strain and your legs should have plenty of room to stretch. Your feet should touch the floor.

What type of chair are you using? It's best to have an adjustable chair that supports your lower back and gives you comfort throughout the day. The height and armrests should also be adjustable so you can give your body the support it needs.

Are you getting up and about throughout the day? You should not stay in one place all day long. This will help with your circulation and give your mind a rest from the same routine. This is important so that you can actually get more done throughout the day.

It's worth your time to consider what is going on in your office every day. Don't be afraid to suggest or make some changes to help you be a better worker. Little by little, you will find that you are enjoying your work more, you are getting more done, and you are feeling a whole lot better!
