Questioning Religion On The Web

Religion has never been considered a great, or even polite, conversation starter. Views on the subject can really vary, but each person is equally as passionate about standing behind their beliefs. It's easy to see how discussion on the topic can instead turn into a nightmarish debate.

When we are so passionate, and we have so much to say, why do we have to bottle it up? Is there a venue for those of us who would like to express ourselves? Is there somewhere we can learn from others?

The web is becoming a great source for this kind of expression. Using an anonymous advice forum as the platform, here are a few key observations as to why-

The public is drawn to free advice sites when they have a question. A person on the street would bristle when approached about a topic like religion. Most people just aren't prepared to talk about things of a personal nature. Finding people who want to talk is the first step in getting a good conversation going.

Anonymous advice sites, offer just that, anonymity. You don't have to censor your views for the sake of political correctness, when no one knows who you are. Express how you really feel about a topic, and know you are getting the same in return from the other users.

Finally, free advice sites contain a lot of different topics that can turn into all sorts of new discussions. You may end up talking about something you'd never considered before, when you went to the site to post something entirely different.
