A mentor, by definition is a wise and respected adviser or teacher. Generally, it is someone we look up to, want to learn from and want to emulate. These mentors have accomplished the goals we want to, made their own dreams happen, have worked hard, trained hard and are where we hope to be with our own success and prosperity someday. Sometimes we are fortunate enough to work directly beside our mentors as we learn from them and they guide us along the path to prosperity. Other times, as is usually the case, we must learn from afar.

This type of mentorship is where we study everything we can of that person who we admire and try to find our way along the path as they did. We read books, listen to lectures or speeches, ask questions when possible.
