Promotional Caps - An Overview Of Different Types Available

By:

Wearing a cap is sort of like telling the world and the people about who you are. Your sensibilities, your likes or your hobbies can all be gleaned from a cap that you may be wearing. There are many different types available. Choosing one that suits your sensibilities can be half the fun. Lets take a look at the different types available.

1. Fitted
Fitted versions are similar to baseball caps. An example of this would be the ones used by Major League Baseball (MLB) players. The fans of a particular baseball team are also avid users of baseball caps. They are often seen in stadiums wearing them to show their allegiance. The material commonly used for this type is wool. The biggest advantage of this style is that the size is matched to your head. Wearing this type can bring a very snug feeling.

2. Adjustable
These types are very popular, perhaps even the most popular type used today. As the name implies, the cap itself is adjustable, lending itself well to heads of different sizes and shapes. There are different closure systems (the part of the cap allowing the adjustable functionality) available. Common examples are Velcro strips, buckles and leather straps. Different materials can be used such as wool, cotton and mesh.

3. Unstructured
Unstructured caps are very similar to the fitted variety. The difference lies in the soft front of the cap. This type is utilized by people who prefer a more casual look, or to be used in casual situations. They are also available in adjustable forms.

4. Visors
This type of cap removes the top, for those with minimalist sensibilities. It can best be described as similar to a headband with a brim in front. They are easily adjustable due to their compact nature, which allows users to slide the brim to offer maximum protection for their eyes from the elements. Because it lacks the top, this is especially helpful during hot summer days, where it is often inconvenient to wear a thick cap. However, those who seek to avoid the ultra violet rays of the sun might not agree with this.

5. Bucket
Bucket styles are also called Gilligan caps because it looks similar to the cap used by the character Gilligan in the show Gilligans Island.

Whichever variety you choose adding your company logo or brand message makes these very useful in the promotion of your company.
