Prevent Fires When You Are Cooking

Many times when there is a fire in the house it is caused in the kitchen when you are cooking. It can be from the stove burners or the oven, fryers, oil, grease, and other things. Those fires can burn up the kitchen, ruin the appliances, or it can burn down your house. The fire can get out of control and spread throughout the whole house with in minutes after it starts. Fires from cooking are very dangerous, you can get burned or worse.

You need to make sure you keep your kids out of the kitchen so they will not get hurt. They can get hurt by the oil splatters, they can knock over boiling water, and more. Oil splatters can run down the side of the pan causing the stove burner to catch on fire, the flames can shoot up over the pan. It can also start a fire in the pan as well causing everything in the pan to burn up. Did you know that a burner can cause a hole in a metal pan? This can also start a fire and it cause metal pieces to fly a crossed the room and all you will see is sparks coming from the stove.

It is not uncommon, it happen more than you think it can. But, did you also know that it can put a hole in the burner as well? If that happens you will need to take out that burner and replace it, do not use it because that is a hazard which is very dangerous. You will also need to check the wires to the burner because they can be melted or burned up. If this happens you need to remove the pan, turn off the burner, and let it cool down before you do anything to it.

If it has oil or grease inside the pan and it is spilling out you will need to use a fire extinguisher on it to stop it. You need to always have a fire extinguisher in the house for the chance that this can happen so you can put the fires out before they get out of control. You always need to watch what you are doing when it comes to cooking. If you are cooking more than one thing, have the burner on mid-low so it will not get hot and cause a fire. When you cook, all you need to do is take precautions so you will not start a fire in your kitchen. Keep any flammable objects like plastic utensils, hand towels, and oven mitts well away from the stover burners.
