SaharaOne opens up its day with a Spiritual touch

SaharaOne has always given its viewers the best of entertainment mix and the essence of its programming has always focused on the beliefs in the Indian culture. After successfully strengthening its prime time slot, SaharaOne has started offering its discerning viewers a bouquet of entertainment throughout the day.

Spirituality is often experienced as a source of inspiration or orientation in life. It can encompass belief in immaterial realities or experiences of the transcendent nature of the world. Thus understanding its viewers sentiments and beliefs in spirituality across, starting September 20, SaharaOne has started offering is viewers a palate that will suffice their spiritual wants. SaharaOne opens up its programming initiatives for the day by taking a bow to the almighty with the onset of religious band called Pratham Pranam.

Pratham Pranam begins in the morning at 5 a.m with a 1-hour live aarti from various temples in India, currently being beamed directly from Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai.

This follows Ganesh Leela, from 6 a.m to 7 a.m. Ganesh Leela is a special feature on Lord Ganeshas life from his birth. Ganesha, the elephant head God is one of the most popular and foremost worshipped forms of divinity - as a remover of obstacles and the embodiment of good luck, in the Indian system of beliefs and practices.

After the series on ganesha, starting 7 a.m starts Om Namah Shivay a series portraying hindu mythology and featuring the divinity Shiva, as well as other gods and demigods (such as Shakti / Parvati, Brahma, Vishnu, Indra, and Sage Narada). The series presumably named after the mantra Aum Namah Shivaya, depicts the spirituality, divinity and the moving power with which Lord Shiva governs the destiny of the universe."
