Pool Cleaners Make Your Swimming Enjoyable And Secure

By:

Keeping a swimming pool clean and clear is as necessary as keeping your house dust-free. Just as a clean house allows healthy living, a clean swimming pool allows hygienic swimming. Pool Cleaners are the only way in which you can keep the waters of your pool germ- free. Manual pool cleaning is a difficult and time- consuming task. Therefore, there are various kinds of Automatic pool cleaners manufactured by different brands that effectively perform this necessary activity. Automatic Pool Cleaners are equipped with filters that keep the water clean and maintain its calcium hardness, alkalinity and pH levels.

Due to the growing necessity and popularity of pool cleaners, a wide range of them are available in the market. Pool cleaners can be both in- ground and above- ground. In- ground pool cleaners can go down up to a level of 8 feet while above- ground ones are not meant for the under-water portion of the pool. Automatic Pool Cleaners are indispensible because they reduce the tedious job of emptying a pool and cleaning it regularly. They function like a vacuum cleaner, collecting the debris and sediments from the pool without any need of human effort.

The first Automatic Pool Cleaners were invented by the South African Ferdinand Chauvier in the year, 1974. There are various models of Automatic pool cleaners, each different from the other in terms of their drive mechanism. All of them, however, make use of the pressure from the pressure pumps for locomotion and cleaning. These are return side driven, pressure driven, suction side driven and robotic.

The return side driven pool cleaners are a costly variety because they require well- built pumps for creating high pressure of water flow. They use the water flow returning to the pool, for movement and filtering. The pressure side driven drive mechanism is no less costly for it employs a secondary booster pump for creating high pressure for its work. The suction side cleaners use the pools natural suction filter for creating a vacuum. These units are very user- friendly in terms of handling as well as costs. Finally, the robotic or electronic pool cleaners are the fastest and most effective of the lot. They have independent filtration system and its movement can be pre- programmed or controlled with a remote control.

While choosing Pool Cleaners, one must be careful about the requirements of particular pools. This is so because the size and location of pools often determines the functioning efficiency of Automatic Pool Cleaners.
