It has often been said that those graced with good looks enjoy more success in life than those that do not meet conventional standards of beauty. In fact, numerous studies have even validated this theory, finding that people who are good looking and tall earn more money than their shorter, less attractive counterparts.

If this is true, than it seems as though men and women in the public eye would be more inclined to undergo plastic surgery to help move their careers forward. No one will argue that Hollywood celebrities the actors, the pop stars, the supermodels seem to undergo cosmetic surgery at a higher rate than the rest of the country. But what about politicians? Do they undergo plastic surgery? Here are the biggest rumors regarding politicians and plastic surgery.

Arnold Schwartzeneggar
As a former Hollywood star himself, it comes as no surprise that tabloid reports and online bloggers accuse Arnie of undergoing a facelift. Rumor has it that he underwent the procedure in 2003.

Hillary Clinton
Hillarys appearance has led gossipers and John Spencer, a 2006 Republican candidate for the United States Senate in New York - to accuse her of undergoing a facelift. In fact, Spencer said that Hillary had undergone millions of dollars of work in order to make herself look presentable.

John Kerry
John Kerrys 2004 Presidential bid was marred by accusations that he had undergone botox injections. Online posts featured before and after photos: A before photo in which Kerrys forehead is riddled with lines; an after picture shows a forehead with no wrinkles.

Silvio Berlusconi
Billionaire prime minister of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi, has experienced his ups and downs while in office. But he did admit to undergoing a facelift and having hair transplants placed. Unlike John Kerry, voters did not hold his vanity against him, as he as been elected to the PM office three times.
