Please Help Me Save My Relationship

The truth is that the best remedy for grief is to find the cause of the problem that caused it, to learn from it and progress forward. We must learn from our past mistakes and take precautions to ensure that we don't fall into the same destructive patterns and behaviors again.

Here are some tips on how to proceed towards a possible reconciliation.
Assess yourself and the relationship. Are you capable of putting yourself back in the relationship and be a positive force? Can you identify what went wrong before? Did you have any destructive or negative tendencies that hampered the relationship? Were there things you'd have done differently? Better? You must also consider whether your partner is also ready & willing to exert some effort to save the relationship. If the feeling is mutual, you have a good chance to salvage the relationship.

After identifying the problems that strained your relationship and you've done your best to learn and accept your part in this, try to talk to your partner about them. Speak calmly, openly and honestly to express your feelings and concerns, but then listen carefully to what your partner has to say. Having good listening skills is crucial to the success of a reconciliation.

You must be willing to listen openly and refrain from emotional outbursts. If your partner tells you something you don't want to hear, do your best to remain calm and collected. It may be difficult to listen to and accept your partner's views on what has happened, but if you really want to restore the relationship, the air must be cleared. Saving a relationship won't happen overnight. Give it time.

Love certainly works in mysterious ways and problems are common in any relationship. We should always be strong enough to withstand the challenges together if you want the relationship to work. Laughter and tears often form the strongest bonds in any relationship, so have as much fun as you can and be there for each other. You can never predict the future and only time will tell if the two of you are destined to go down the aisle together.
