Plan A Cinderella Style Wedding

I am planning my wedding at the moment and I am having great fun. I have decided that I would love a Cinderella style wedding and have found these lovely glass slippers which are just right. I have a lovely big dress as well which looks just like the Cinderella wedding dress in the story book that I had as a child.

I lovely the idea of having a nice cushion for the rings to rest on in the same way that the slipper rested on a cushion in the book. A coach and horses is something that I would love but I think that would be going a bit far and I have decided to stay in the hotel I am getting married in the night before so that I have plenty of time to get ready and I therefore will not need any smart transport. I really wanted rose petals down the aisle as I walked but there is a big charge for cleaning them up because they can stain the carpets so I have been looking at aisle runners as I have heard that you can get one which looks like rose petals. I think this could be a really good compromise if it looks realistic I will find out if I can look at one and decide whether it is the thing for me. I have decided to serve pumpkin soup as the starter for the wedding meal because I think it is very apt. The wedding cake is fantastic too it has a set up steps going up the tiers with Cinderella at the top and a slipper on one of the steps and the prince on the bottom tier looking after her. There is also a clock showing midnight on the cake. The icing is white with sparkles and it all looks fantastic. The cake will be quite a surprise too as it is a chocolate cake inside as I love chocolate but from the white icing outside it looks like it would be a plain sponge.

Having a theme has made the wedding so much fun to organise and I hope that my guests all enjoy it too as they have all been asked to dress as couples at Cinderella's wedding so they will be wearing period costumes which will be great fun. Having been to Western weddings in the past, I think that having a theme can really help to give the wedding direction as well as making it more memorable and I hope that my guests find this is true of my wedding.
