We've pigeonholed the rankings based on who among the gurus have the most media attention, this list does not entail that these names are the only gurus worth mentioning. When the book became a bestseller, he gained a massive amount of attention from the media. Following these events, Strauss appeared in a the press a lot through TV shows and conferences. Currently, his method of spreading his teachings is through his own company called "Stylelife".

2. Mystery PUA videos (AKA Mystery from Venusian Arts). The many technologies in pick-up artistry are pioneered by Erik von Markovik. Neil Strauss was among his famous students. He taught everything he knew to Strauss, who soon wrote his own book. He is very well-known through his pseudonym of Mystery. His features on the media was not limited to interviews and publications, he was the star of the VH1 show "The Pick Up Artist". The show was approved to screen its second season as well. Eric von Markovik is still being featured in a lot of the mainstream media's publications, he also continues to share his dating advice through "Venusian Arts"; his own dating company.

3. David DeAngelo (AKA Eben Pagan from Double Your Dating). Eben Pagan DYD was the first dating guru to appear significantly on the scene and today has the largest dating advice business amongst all the gurus. The release of his first book "Double Your Dating eBook" back in 2001 initiated his success in collecting and creating a varied selection of dating products and seminars; each with the commonality of aiding buddies in their relations with women. His dating company is "Double Your Dating".

4. Owen Cook (AKA TD/Tyler Durden). Owen Cook was acquainted with people through Neil Strauss's book "The Game". He was among the group of geniuses who started to develop dating advice into the prominent commercial market it is today. His magnified look through advice regarding which works and which doesn't made him famous as a perfectionist. Currently, he and his girlfriend are taking care of their baby son. 7. Daniel Rose (from Sex God Method). Daniel Rose drew a lot of attention in the media over the last few years for his coaching and products about sexual skills. He pioneered his own company and named it "Sex God Method". He presents his advice on teaching men to make explosive sexual experiences with their female partners through his products ranging from books, online training programs and videos.

8. Vin DiCarlo. A few years ago, Vin DiCarlo was accepted into the dating guru scene. His different approach on pick-up artistry (mainly using confidence, mindsets, and 'inner game') made him stand out from his fellow dating coaches. He focused on the proper marketing techniques to distribute his writing and through this effort, he was able to make a name for himself in a short span of time.
