Now in its seventh year, Phuket International Blues Rock Festival is an even dedicated to charity, donating its funds to the childrens education fund of Patong Beach Rotary Club. Having found a new home at a serene backdrop amidst tropical gardens, the festival is sponsored by Phuket Music Production Company Limited. Just as in its previous editions, this years edition of the festival which is scheduled to take place from 23rd to 26th of February will feature world-renowned musical acts including Louisiana-based Chris Thomas King who is a guitarist and blues singer.
In addition to this legendary artist, the line-up of artists will include musicians originating from Australia, Asia, Europe and USA; among these, John Meyer's Blues Express from Australia, AkashA from Malaysia and Rich Harper from USA will be returning by popular demand. Providing the first ever Irish contribution to the event will be Grainne Duffy, a popular female rock musician. PJae Stanley and The Rockin' Angels with Mojo Perry as well as Colin Hill Band will represent the local blues scene.
