Pay Per Click Marketing: Why You Should Buy Your Way To The Top

By:

Business owners purchase advertising space everyday -- online and off. Pay per click programs work in a similar fashion where you buy ads on specific keywords or keyword phrases, and you are charged each time a person clicks through to go to your website.

Just like traditional advertising, with pay per click (PPC), buying your way to the top is not uncommon among internet marketers.

Why Pay for Traffic: Get to the Top Fast

There are several free methods to get traffic to your site, but we know that they often take time and a significant amount of patience. If you don't want to play the waiting game, free traffic may not be the right move. Or, you may want to combine free and paid methods of getting traffic.

In this case, PCC is the route to go because it is often less expensive than traditional advertising, And, it can be super rewarding if you choose to buy your way in.

Avoid the Bidding War

When building a steady stream of traffic to your website, you will do one of two things, ie, (i) spend time; (ii) spend money to achieve this goal. If you have the time, it will cost less. But if you have the money, you can achieve the same goal in less time.

While most are seeking the lowest cost for their keywords, you can bid high right from the start. Once you have secured that keyword and the search engines have crawled your site, then you can adjust your bid to a lower cost per click.

Determining How Much To Spend

When deciding how much to spend on a pay per click campaign, there are a few things you must consider. One is determining how many searches are conducted each month for your keywords. The other is how much are you willing to pay for these keywords.

Utilizing keyword research tools will give you an idea of how often keywords are being searched and the approximate CPC (Cost Per Click) for these keywords. Once you have this information, you can then decide how much you are willing to spend, keeping in mind those big businesses can spend thousands, even millions of dollars each month on their PPC campaigns.

If you have the budget to compete with the "big dogs," then by all means go for it. However, if you are on a limited budget, you may want to take a more cost-effective approach. You can still meet your goal; it will just take a little longer to get there.
