Paul Revere was an American patriot, famous for his night ride on horseback to warn the citizens of an impending invasion. He started his journey on horseback, riding through most of the night, stopping at every house on the way to warn the inhabitants, until he finally reached his destination around midnight.

Revere's house in downtown Boston is the oldest building there. Built in the 1600's, the architecture is from early colonial times. The interior contains beautiful early colonial era furniture, intricate silverware, as well as artefacts including historic documents.

The house is located in Boston's North End, and is one of the 16 historic sites that are a part of the Freedom Trail. Tourists wanting to find out more about the city's long and rich history can sign up for this 2 and a half mile trek through the past.
