Patricia Pieschacon Displays Tranquil Colors In Masters Of The Imagination

By:

Living on a farm at the outskirts of her native Bogot, Patricia Pieschacon has become known for her fantastic images of nature. Working in both acrylics and oils, she creates dreamy, magical landscapes, transcendental expressions of the wonders that surround us. Colors are pure yet subdued, lending to the feel of understated yet exquisite beauty that suffuses her canvases. The way she handles composition only adds to the sentiment of inexplicable tranquility she ascribes to our natural world.

While the images Pieschacon creates are imaginative, there is something organic at work. In her artwork, you see the distinct influence of her years as a landscape gardener. The light, atmosphere, and colors are reflective of the living, breathing plants, flowers, and terrains that compose her everyday world. Abstract forms of water reflect forest, light, trees, and everything surrounding them. Ultimately, her work speaks to the duality of life the sun and moon, masculine and feminine, light and dark, feelings and rationality that underscores every facet of human experience.
