What was so special about this grilled cheese sandwich, you might ask? The toasting pattern on the bread, in the eyes of many people, bears a striking resemblance to the Virgin Mary. A pretzel in the shape of Mary was also sold in 2005, and another put up for auction a few years later, both receiving bids in excess of $10,000. On a more secular note, a piece of breakfast cereal which appeared in the shape of the alien E.T. from the eponymous 1980s movie sold for hundreds of dollars.

You might also be surprised to hear that some shockingly valuable items have been put up for sale on eBay as well.
