Oxford MS Newspapers are responsible for providing and propagating information across most of Mississippi. These newspapers, like any other newspaper around the globe have served the town for a couple of years to many years with integrity and the purpose of giving out up to date information to its citizens.

Three of the most popular newspapers in Oxford include the Daily Mississippian, the Local Voice and the Oxford Eagle. These publications have been providing the service all over Oxford and Lafayette County for a while (besides the Local Voice which is fairly new.

"The DM" or The Daily Mississippian is an independent student-run college publication of the University of Mississippi. It is said to be the only university newspaper in the area that is being published five times a week. The paper is published during the weekdays of spring and fall semesters. And also, every June to July for every summer term.

It is considered to be one of the largest college newspapers across the country for its circulation of 15,000 copies per day. It is also known as the sole college paper in the state that is a member of the state press association and it joins in an annual contest known as the "Mississippi Press
Association's Better Newspaper Contest" with the other established newspapers.

The Local Voice is also one of the well-known and reputable Oxford MS Newspapers that can be found in the area. This newspaper is being published on a weekly basis and it provides a lot of information including news about Oxford, the nation, the weather and other important
current events. The Local Voice seems to focus more on the Artsy side of Oxford as well as the Musical side. There is also a radio show provided by the Local Voice.

The Oxford Eagle is the oldest local newspaper in Oxford, Mississippi and is the only paper in Oxford being published daily. It was founded after the Civil War in 1865 by a civil war veteran named Samuel Thompson with the slogan, "Truth is a weapon with which we fight." Up to this day, the same principle is being carried out by the publication with the same purpose of informing and serving people through trusted news.

These Oxford MS Newspapers simply prove that there is always something interesting and newsworthy in Oxford, Mississippi. Depending on what you are looking for (I personally read all three) you have plenty of options.
