Overwhelming Angels And Demons

Several stories have encountered the success experienced by Dan Brown's the Da Vinci Code. With a fascinating foundation and a presentation of a thriller - which isn't that new to start with - in an exciting new light, readers have been engrossed with the fictional work. The film, starring Tom Hanks in the starring role of Robert Langdon, equally met great victory given the status of the book it was rooted on.

But majority of Dan Brown's patrons are of the opinion that Angels & Demons, the book that emerged before the Da Vinci Code which also featured Robert Langdon as the lead character, is a distant better work compared to the more memorable sequel.

Whereas the Da Vinci Code discussed an ages-old mystery protected by the Catholic Church, that is, Mary Magdalene being the wife of Jesus Christ and the Holy Grail being a testimonial to the sacred bloodline of God's only begotten son, Angels & Demons deals with something more secular - how the Vatican maneuvers.

Angels & Demons, in fact, is one of just a few of literary works that offers us a glimpse at the selection of a new Pope.

This is what the book is all concerning to, amidst the backdrop of a conspiracy to seize the Vatican captive with pressures of letting loose an anti-matter device that can instantly eradicate a quarter of the globe. It's a race versus time, with Robert Langdon guiding the group by deciphering puzzles and decoding symbols in a struggle to unearth the site of the anti-matter bomb.

It's a thrilling novel, certainly. And all signs lead to the truth that it's going to be a thrilling movie. At this point, censors are already announcing that Angels & Demons is more custom-made for the big screen contrasted to its heir, the Da Vinci Code. The latter, after all, is chatter, its conflict runs are more still, and its selling point is the logical sorting out of its obscurities. Angels & Demons, then again, is a pursuit story - one which will adapt well as an action mystery flick.

Apart from Tom Hanks, Ayelet Zurer acts in the movie, portraying the role of Vittoria Vetra, a CERN scientist and a logical and loving match for Robert Langdon. Ewan Macgregor portrays the persona of Camerlengo Carlo Ventresca, who is a fundamental character in the story.
