Overweight Kids Comes From The City

By:

During my childhood period, there were few cases of overweight kids yet we ate endlessly just like pigs.

However, I grew up in the farms where there was enough space to play and burn as many calories as fast as they get in to my body.

I was not used to seeing too many kids suffering with weight problems till I came to the city where they say life is fabulous as compared to the farm life.

The comfort of the city might be good to those who want to spend their day sparkling clean, but not the overweight kids who live in a body of a fat adult man or woman.

Every time I see them, I hate the parenting of the modern couples who want their children to have a better life with less physical struggle and more poor diets.

This made me contrast my childhood life with these city kids, and found lots of differences in terms of fitness and what contributed to this.

Lets examine a typical city childs day

Breakfast- many of these city kids dictates what they want to eat for breakfast because by the time they leave for school, their busy parents have disappeared for work and the house helps assigned their care.

So they want to eat greasy and sugary foods like cheese, chocolates, biscuits, breads and none want a fruit or some greens.

As they go to school, they carry a lunch box full of food prepared for them and on the side some money they demand for buying sweets, ice creams, snacks and so on.

Leaving for schools

The parents of such overweight city kids do not want any strain for their kids and this is why they pay for a regular school bus to pick up the kid in the morning and bring her or him home in the evening.

There is no walking for these classy children and no burning of the calories they stuff their tiny bellies with!

When the kids get to school, the classes begin with every teacher leaving them intense home work for them to get ample time to play and do it for the day.

The short breaks assigned for the kids to breath outside the classrooms, is a good chance for these kids to rush to the nearby cafeterias to buy potato chips after eating thick porridge for 10 am break.

Then back to classes followed by lunch break where the kids get to access what is contained in the lunchboxes as well as the food prepared by the school for them.

Before they know it, the afternoon classes begins until four oclock when they are supposed to go back home. The school prepares a cup of tea and half bread for all kids.

Remember they have too much school work to even get time to play and if they decide to play, the school compound is too small to allow enough space for all kids.

When they get home, they may find what they like eating in the refrigerator and even if they do not, at least mum and dad always buy some on their way home.

Since the parents get home late, the house helps prepare food for the family which may not be balanced especially if influenced by the kids.

This is how they spend the five working days of the week.
