Organize And Declutter - Life Without The Mess

By:

You have to do more than just get rid of clutter in your home if you want organization in your life. In general, you must learn how to declutter. Life will be so much better when you do. It doesn't matter if you work at home or in the office, you must get rid of the messes in your life that make it cluttered. Many times when one area of your life is unorganized, other areas are also unorganized.

Of course, you might want your home to be the first place that you declutter. Life mostly takes place there. Home is where you spend a great deal of your waking hours. However, you should also consider how clutter affects your work environment or maybe even your commute to and from work. Is your office a mess? Does your car look like a cyclone hit it? Do you have a hard time finding the things that you need to finish your daily tasks? If you do, it is time to declutter life in areas such as your office and car, just to name a few.

Your Desk

Even if you are on your own time schedule, clean and organize your desk. Contrary to belief, this isn't time consuming. Begin with the individual work papers that are thrown all over your desk. Sort them so that you can categorize them. Should they be placed in your "in" box or your "out" box? Decide where they belong and put them there.

Take a look at some of the other items on your desk that need organization. Do those file folders belong on your desk? Or, should they be neatly filed away in the filing cabinet? If so, file them immediately. The surface of your desk should only have the necessary items that it takes to perform your job. However, one exception may be that adorable picture of you and your family. Personal items such as this are wonderful for boosting your morale. All in all make sure that your work desk makes you comfortable and productive instead of frustrated.

Your Car

You car is another thing that you probably need to declutter. Life slowly ticks away when you are sitting in traffic. Don't make it worst by sitting in a mess. Is the backseat of your car filled with things such as your child's sports equipment, empty drink cans, bottles, food containers or old receipts? If so, clean and organize your car. Put a mini container for the items that must be temporary stored such as your child's sports equipment. Throw away all of the other trash. Try to recycle the empty bottles and cans. Most importantly, put a mini trash container and recycle pouch in your car so that it does not get cluttered anymore. Remember, to empty the contents each and every time that you get home. Maintain organization once you get rid of all of the unnecessary clutter. You don't want there to be any other times that you must declutter. Life in your car will be so much better once you get it cleaned and organized.

Your Home

You must create a plan that will get rid of the clutter in your home. For each room in your house, make a list of the things that have to be done in order to get it decluttered. Beginning with the most unorganized room, clean and organize it. Go through each room based upon which one is the messiest and do the same thing. Once each room is decluttered, acquire better organizational skills that will stop clutter from every building up again.

In conclusion, follow the above tips to organize your life. You will feel very motivated to work extremely hard to do it and maintain it. Use the above tips to really get rid of your daily messes so that there won't ever be another need to declutter. Life will then be much more functional, organized and enjoyable.
