There are a lot of different theories and strategies about blogging...how many blogs you should have, if they should be linked together, how often should you post, what you can and can't do with a blog...even where you should blog. Some of these strategies work...hey, maybe they all do...but I teach you how to start from the beginning and make money online fast. So let's look at my top Internet marketing strategies regarding blogging.

In my opinion, when you're just starting, you should have one list and one blog. Focus your attention there. Write to your list by posting every day.

Some people will tell you to have multiple blogs...if you do that you are multiplying the amount of work you have to do every day. So, start with one.

The people who say you should have lots of blogs...I've even heard people say you should have 25...they are typically also telling you all these need to be interconnected--networked together. And of course, in a special and very specific way.

Stick with one...it is that simple...no fancy interconnecting required. You can link to another website but keep it simple!

When I hear people say you can't use a blog for list building. Well, that is just down-right wrong, and it's one of my pet peeves!

You can be list building in a variety of ways. You can:

Have an opt-in box
Use a Pop-up
Link to your squeeze page

The whole purpose of having a blog is that it is a traffic magnet, if you use it properly...take advantage of that traffic and start building your list.

A lot of the same rules of email apply to blogging. If your posts are boring, you're probably not going to get a lot of repeat readers. If your posts are interesting, intriguing and engaging, you probably will get a lot of repeat readers.

If you are going to write a weblog, which I highly recommend you do, then...if it is going to be for any kind of commercial purpose, meaning you want to make money from it...then I suggest you use WordPress as your platform.

Based on the policies of various platforms out there--at least today--WordPress is really the best. It's the most customizable and the most user-friendly. And so you have complete control over your blog and the content, and you will want to host it yourself. That's really the only option. Online services won't allow you to add commercial messages to the hosted solutions.
