Brief History

Citizens of Camp, Morris, and Titus jointly approved the setting up of college district in the area in 1984. First class of the college was held in 1985. Basic objective of the college was to offer responsible and exemplary learning opportunities. A governing body of seven members, three from Titus and two each from Morris and Camp Counties was also set up.

Campus

Campus of the college covers an area of 375 acres. A unique feature of the campus is the uniform appearance of all buildings having earth tone brick and copper tone metal roofs. Service area covers Camp, Morris, Titus Counties, Avinger and Hughes springs, Como Pickton, Saltillo, Mount Vernon, Harmony, Ore city, Union Hall, Winnsboro, and Pewitt Consolidated independent school districts.

Programs Offered

Basic core courses leading to associate of arts or science degrees as well as courses leading to transfer to four year universities are offered in the college. In addition the college also offers applied science degrees and certificates enabling students to join the workforce instantly. Concurrent enrollments for high school juniors and seniors are the special offer.

Unique Offer

NTCC students can get bachelor's degree from the Texas A&M University Texarkanain the disciplines like teacher education and criminal justice even while taking classes in the NTCC campus. In addition there is also agreement as may be seen in university directory for seamless transition of students that have completed Associate of Science Degree in Biomedical Science at NTCC to a Bachelor of Science Degree at Texas subject to NTCC students obtaining 3.6 GPA minimum.

Award Winning Honors Program and Sports Facilities

Northeast Texas Community College Students with high achievements can avail the benefits of NTCC initiated honors program initiated in 2007. Men's baseball team called Eagles and women's Lady Eagles softball team are well known. In addition the rodeo team of men and women compete across the country and ranked third in the 2007 nationals.

Student Services and Financial Aids

Northeast Texas Community College offers remedial services, academic and career counseling, PT cost defraying employment, and library facility for students. A dormitory can house 120 students.
