In some cases, an exemption can help those who do not have a bachelor's degree to obtain the ability to teach in the schools in the state. In order for this to happen, you must have specific skills within an area of career and technical education. For example, you may wish to teach welding in a formal school setting but you may not have a bachelor's degree.

Because this is very much a hands on type of educational program, you may be able to avert the requirement to have a formal bachelor's degree. However, this only applies in limited situations.
