New little series of these Network Marketing Sense tips. Reactions welcome.

Network Marketing Sense: Tip #1

"Where do I find good professional people to talk to about my product and business without spending more than I can afford? And local people would be great."

Here's a way to find naturopaths, massage therapists, alternative health pracitioners, hair color specialists, and such, locally and around the world, at no cost.

LEVEL: Easy
WHERE: Web (Internet)
COST: $ 00
TIME: 15-20 Minutes

Go to Google.com (Or your favorite search engine.) Type in:

chiropractors in Wichita Kansas (enter any category, city and state)

Review the search results. You will see individual chiros listed, and also "Chiropractors in Wichita, KS - Yellow Pages - Switchboard"

Click there for a local yellow page listing.

Or scroll down and try "categories:chiropractors listings in Wichita, KS at Yellowbook.com"

Click there for more listings in Yellowbook.com

Also listed are the Chiro schools, where you might find lists of recent graduates who might be looking for some extra income as they launch their careers. Having some quality supplements on hand might be just what some might like.

Both phone numbers and addresses are listed, so you can call or visit.

Don't like calling people? Team up with someone. You find them, they contact them.

(One suggested source for 'what to say when I call these folks' is in the book, If My Product's So Great, How Come I Can't Sell It?" See Chapter on 'Cold Market.')

Helpful?

PART TWO:

Cold cadaver calling?

Cadaver n. A dead body, especially one intended for dissection.

Network Marketing Sense Tip #2: Cold Cadaver Calling for Practice.

Level: Medium
Tool: Telephone
Cost: $00
Time: 45 minutes
Resource: Your local phone book (quaint, huh?)

Here's a way hundreds of people have practiced telling their authentic story with great fun (and trepidation).

Medical students practice on cadavers, don't they? Beats them practicing brain surgery on you, wouldn't you say? If they puncture a lung or miss the heart, no problem. Cadavers are PRACTICE for medical students - so they get better - no one expects to revive the cadaver.

Networkers need 'cadavers' to practice on too - people whose purpose it is to provide practice for the networking practitioner. No networker expects a sale (although some people have gotten them.) They expect to practice to get better. Steps:

1. Get local phone book
2. Select 100 names to call, perhaps people with your same last name.
3. Use the 3 line script that has 90% of the callees asking to hear your pitch.
4. Repeat 3 until you have made 50 connects. (You can leave a specific message, yes.)

Script hint:

"Hello I'm looking for Lulu Hilton, is she there?...
"OK great. This is Matt Damon and I'm a local business owner in town. I'm calling everyone in my neightborhood to ask them a question. Do you have a minute?"...

This line has gotten 90% of the listeners to say, "OK shoot, I have just a minute..."

Isn't that the biggest obstacle - getting someone else to even give you PERMISSION to make your mini-presentation - so you can practice it?

Then do your thing. Keep it under 45 seconds, be sincere and authentic. NO hype, bull, or idiotic promises.

(Remember, that's why we have 145 million people on the Do Not Call Registry.)

You can go for either the product or the business. You will likely discover, like my students did, that people treat you very differently when they find out you are a local business person calling everyone in your neighborhood. I.e. a member of the community.)

For my personal suggestions to follow up, see pages 182--183 of the book, "If My Product's So Great, How Come I Can't Sell It?" (https://www.vmediacart.com/secure/productdetail.aspx?mid=250&pr_id=120)

Otherwise, practice your own presentation story.
