Auto Expo all around. Seems a very big opportunity for car makers to roll out their new models, well Japanese auto group Nissan is also in the list. The auto group unveiled its all new seven-seater car christened as
Nissan Evalia at the auto expo held in Delhi. Expected to be launched in the middle of 2012, the car has been developed in the partnership with Ashok Leyland. The Nissan India is of view that the all new Evalia will be manufactured in the Nissans Chennai plant where Nissan Micra and Nissan Sunny have been developed.
As per Palmer Executive Vice President (Global Planning and Programme Management) at Nissan Motor Company, the company by launching this car is targeting the multipurpose vehicle segment. About the price, it was quoted that the Nissan Evalia price will be tagged very competitively, however exact price and launch date of the car is not clearly stated.
Further Nissan Motor Company Corporate Vice President Gilles Normand said that company is also scheduling to enhance its dealership networks and intends to increase the numbers of dealership outlets almost double which are currently having a figure of 50. The aim of Nissan Motors is to get the target of 150 outlets by 2015.
Well the company is aiming to expand its business, so production capacity is obviously needed to be increased; Well Company is concerned about this area too, so adding one more production line at Oragadam near Chennai by March this year. For this the company planning to expanse Rs 4500 crore till 2015, out of which Rs 2800 crore are already said to be invested.
Talking about this all new MPV Nissan Evalia, this is perfect combo of fashion, space and realism which in turn making this car, an idyllic means of transportation for larger families. Being asserted as Indias first upper car, the Evalia will be coming with two engine options. If reports are to be believed, the higher performance version of the car will be housed with 1.5L diesel engine which is same as powering Nissan Sunny. Well it is good to know about diesel engine in this car as if a car lacks petrol engine it hardily attracts people to comment, but absence of diesel engine does that job very well.
By launching this fine-looking Evalia, Nissan India is all set to take over Mahindra Xylo and Toyota Innova.Tagged as NV200, the all new Evalia can be said as the ultimate and supreme ingenuity of expertise and designs, which simultaneously will be producing lavishness feeling. Along with Nissan Evalia, the auto group also displayed a zero-emission electric car LEAF, Nissan GTR and a Compact Sports Concet (CSC).
Nissan India seems to be on expansion spree, as the company is planning big to sell around 40,000 vehicles in India which will include 370Z sports car. TEANA, X-Trail, and Nissan Sunny and Nissan Micra.
