Nissan Dealers In Nj Inspired By Co Event

By:

Nissan dealers in NJ have been inspired by a Boulder, CO event that took place this past Memorial Day weekend. These Nissan dealers in NJ are not only proud of the events success this year and the benefit it brought the people of Boulder, CO and those visiting the area, but they are also excited about the potential of each new 2012 Nissan. NJ residents, after seeing these new impressive vehicles, will be inspired to use Nissan vehicles in their own events, New Jersey Nissan dealers hope.
The event was BolderBOULDER, a 10k race held annually in the city of Boulder, Colorado. Since 1979, BolderBOULDERs mission has been to encourage Boulder and the surrounding areas citizens to lead healthy lives, be passionate community members, and be good stewards of the environment. In short, BolderBOULDER encourages people to live boldly. Additionally, the event traditionally takes place on Memorial Day as a way to encourage people to jumpstart their summer to be one filled with fitness and good health.
This year, Nissan was delighted to become a sponsor of the event. Specifically, the brand new, 100% electric and 100% emissions free Nissan LEAF served as the pace car for the 10k race. The appropriateness of this vehicle serving as the pace car is all too apparent. Not only is the Nissan LEAF the most environmentally friendly vehicle the world has seen to date, but the athletes performing at high levels of intensity behind the pace vehicle at these events also benefit by the fact that they are not breathing in the harmful pollutants traditional vehicles emit regularly.
In addition to providing the pace car for the 10K event, Nissan also brought Olympian Ryan Hall to the event. Ryan currently holds the title of Americas fastest marathoner and recently posted a PR of 2 hours, 4 minutes, 48 seconds at this years prestigious Boston Marathon. Before the event, Ryan said, I'm really excited to be competing again in Boulder. It's one of the greatest 10Ks in the country with a challenging and scenic route. The members of the Boulder community are always enthusiastic about the race, and I know they'll appreciate the zero emissions Nissan LEAF leading the way as pace car."
The partnership between Nissan and BolderBOULDER is part of a new Nissan initiative to do their part in the ever-challenging battle of global health for both people and the environment. The initiative is called Innovation for Endurance, a spin off of Nissans advertising campaign of Innovation for All. High profile health and fitness innovators, as Nissan has named these top athletes participating in their new program, offer consumers tips for taking their training programs, motivation and ultimately their health to the next level.
These tips are being communicated to the public through the new Nissan Innovation for Endurance Facebook page. Additionally, Nissan has teamed up with several highly established fitness events, like that of BolderBOUDLER, across the country as another means for advancing the Innovation for Endurance program. The initiative comes eastward with a cycling event in Tennessee next week.
