You know that when they name a city after the state it is in that it is going to have a lot going for it and a lot to live up to. New York city I the state of New York is no exception. It is the city that never sleeps and it is the home of some of the more pricey real estate in country today. A quick glance at the New York foreclosure listings and you soon come to appreciate what a dollar can buy you other places in the United States.

There are normal everyday apartments in Manhattan that cost more than some of the mansions in places like Georgia cost. A good portion of that is because people are willing to pay a premium for the ability to live in a city that is as diverse and busy as New York City, the place where a square inch of property costs as much as multiple square feet in other places in the country.

New York foreclosure listings for the area of the city of New York contain only apartment and condos. It is an unheard of thing to look at a building in the city. Those can be found as you get outside of the city proper and into the boroughs that surround the city. Places like Queens and Brooklyn and farther out in upstate New York and out on Long Island.

New York Coty foreclosures are likely to bring along with is a sticker shock value that is going to scare all but the folks with the heartiest bank accounts away. Although, to be fair, you can expect that if you do invest in property here that the price much like the height of the buildings - is going to only go up and will most likely do so rapidly.
